Enjoy a welcome break in our self-catering cottages in Faversham

Welcome to our family run sheep farm which has been in the Flood family for generations. It is set in a peaceful location in the heart of the Kent countryside with lovely views of the surrounding area. Our holiday cottages are an ideal base for exploring the area, coast and country; there are plenty of walks and cycling routes on offer.

Whatever your preference, you will be assured of a warm welcome.

Our holiday self catering cottages, the Farmhouse and the Granary both offer excellent self catering accommodation. The Farmhouse has been tastefully and sympathetically renovated to offer comfortable and spacious accommodation. The Granary which has been beautifully renovated to a high standard, is also a lovely place to stay and recharge.

Both of our cottages are available for rent all year round so whether you would prefer a winter break and to snuggle up whilst looking out in the fields or prefer a summer break and walks in the Kent countryside, we are the perfect getaway retreat.

Wifi internet access is available throughout both cottages.

The Local Area

Faversham which is 2 Miles away is a lovely historic market town, it has a mainline railway station, London is an hour by train. Use our self catering cottages as a base to explore what Faversham has to offer in terms of antiques, vintage arts & crafts and food markets once a month – as well as the regular weekly markets. There are also some lovely independent shops for all kinds of shopping.

There are plenty of choice for place to eat, many using locally produced food, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Oare now has a café on the creek which offers welcome refreshments especially after an enjoyable walk.

Other Tourist Attractions and Things to Do

If you enjoy walking as part of your self catering holiday, there are walks from the farmgate to Oare Nature Reserve along the Saxon Shore and back to Oare itself where you can have coffee and cake or a light lunch at the Café on the Creek. There are also 2 pubs in Oare, The Castle and The Mariners both of which serve food.

Oare Gunpowder Works Country Park is a good place to visit, enjoy wildlife and discover the history of Gunpowder. There is a trail to follow with information boards along the way explaining the story of gunpowder and how it was transported without there being any explosions!

Faversham has a variety of independent shops, cafes, tourist information and a museum to visit. There is also a very popular market every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday plus an Antiques and Vintage market 1st Sunday of the month.

You can also visit Standard Quay for it’s selection of antique shops and various places for refreshments.

Belmont House and Gardens, Doddington Place and Mount Ephraim are just a few of the lovely places to visit in and around Faversham as part of your self catering holiday.
